First Fossil Nigeria Limited recently signed an Alliance Agreement with Enertech Services International Incorporated of Houston, Texas, U.S.A. With this development the two companies will continue to work together to create a mutually satisfactory, long-term relationship with respect to the identification, acquisition and execution of projects in engineering design, installations and modifications for Oil and Gas facilities (including floating drilling and production platforms and specialised vessels (FPSO)), Petrochemical facilities and Power plants. At the signing ceremony in Houston in May, the parties agreed to the development of the skills and experience of Nigerian engineers and technical personnel through agreed programmes of training on project assignments, both in Nigeria and in ENERTECH offices in the U.S.A. and China. ENERTECH was founded by Dr. Shukai Wu and Mr. Scott Murphy both of whom are certified engineers of several decades of experience. The company has executed a number of challenging projects in Deepwater Offshore Floating Systems around the world. These include Tanker-to-FPSO conversion for Petrobras, Upgrading of MODU (12,000ft-rated semi submersible drill rig), FEED/Detailed engineering for Neptune Deepwater Development, Field Development Concept selection (1,400m of water depth)in India, Early production/Well testing systems, and Engineering support for mooring and riser systems in the Gulf of Mexico. With its head office in Houston in the U.S.A., and branch offices in Beijing and Tianjin in China, Enertech is being positioned as a world-class EPC company of the near future. The choice of a partner is strategic for both companies; it is based on a common vision, shared similar ethics and desire to develop skills and expertise in the emerging deep water operations in the Gulf of Guinea. Nigeria is a key player in the trans-atlantic basin and on the path to technological transformation and both Enertech and First Fossil are determined to play a leading role in making this dream a reality. The good business relationships between Nigeria and U.S.A. and between China and Africa are a boost for the success of the alliance objectives of Enertech and First Fossil.
